Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has said it is apposite to remember the contributions of the late King Prithvi Narayan Shah towards the unification of Nepal.
The Vice President shared this to a delegation of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party that called on him at his office today to hand him an invitation for his presence in a tea reception it is organising at local Bhrikuti Mandap on Poush 27
(January 11) marking the National Unity Day. Poush 7 is also the birth anniversary of the late King Prithvi Narayan Shah, the unifier of modern Nepal.
Discussions were also held on contemporary political issues in the meeting with the Vice President, according to RPP Chief Whip Dilnath Giri, who was also present in the meeting.
